The above video demonstrates gameplay of Gravity Pong. As is apparent, this Pong game is much more realistic then classic Pong, because it accounts for gravity, and has variable energy returns depending on the location that the ball hits the paddle: if it hits on the outer parts of the paddle, only 90% of the ball’s energy is returned, if it hits on the middle portion of the paddle, 100% of the ball’s energy is returned. Because of this percentage system, the ball will never not bounce off of the paddle, but will get infinitely close to the paddle over time. Each time the player bounces the ball off of the paddle, his/her score is increased by one. However, when the player allows the ball hit the bottom of the screen, the score is reset, and the ball’s location is set back to the middle of the playing area, starting the game over again.
